The "2025 National Geographic Taiwan Photo Contest," exclusively sponsored by Wistron Foundation, ended its three-month call for entries on July 15. Following an incredible response of 16,060 submissions, the winners were officially revealed on September 9.
This year's competition featured seven categories: People, Places, Nature, Astrophotography, Mobile, Ecology and Environment, and Youth. The distinguished panel of judges included National Geographic photographer Christian Ziegler, environmental documentary director Ke Chin-yuan, photographic artist and curator Tsai Wen-hsyang, and Yungshih Lee, Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic magazine (Chinese edition). The Astrophotography category was judged by world-renowned astrophotographer Babak Tafreshi, Hong Kong astrophotography expert Vincent Cheng (A-fudo-myo-o), and Wang Wei-Hao from the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics at Academia Sinica.
