Achievements | Changing the world with creativity and action

Background

To encourage young professionals to be creative and actively participate in social and humanistic care and natural ecological conservation. In 2011 we set up a special program for college youth to receive social service awards, and in 2012 we launched the Music Uniform Program - The WAY Giving Project to encourage students in universities and colleges to use their creativity to change the world!

The launch of the program of College Youth Social Grant encourages college students to change society with creativity and action. By 2012, more than 99 teams with more than 13,000 people have been sponsored. We are convinced that the enthusiasm and creative energy of young people are unlimited. These burning souls and spirit of dedication are worthy of encouragement.

The Uniform Program - The WAY Giving Project is an opportunity to share and exchange experiences among a group of students by partnering with the Music School teaching team for an effective quantum teaching experience to carefully plan classes and experiences such as service values, planning tips, etc. The Foundation was not only promoting Wistron's corporate culture of altruism to the next generation, we were also helping college students to understand the true meaning of service and realize the spirit of giving and serving.

The Music Design Competition has won the enthusiasm of college youth, with a total of 30 teams and 123 college students. Student service groups from all over Taiwan gathered together with the purposefully planned service to complete two days of learning and challenges in a spirit of healthy competition and mutual assistance.

Actions including character education, community care, ecological care, and education promotion are all quite good proposals to address concerns regarding the surrounding environment and disadvantages in the countryside. Young people are seeing problem and creatively solving problems. Such activities trigger young students’ thinking in such environmental education areas which then lead the younger generation to care and take actions for the local environment. This is the goal we want to pursue.

Thank you for your support of this program. The Wistron University Specialized Youth Society Dedication Award Scheme, from 2011 to 2013, has been suspended. The enthusiasm for the services expressed by the young people during the plan is believed to be an important force for the upward promotion of humanities and the environment. Not only can we feel the emotional strength and weight behind each spontaneous act of charity, we can also see that young students are courageous to share because sharing allows us to grow together and create a good society.
