“Beyond Beauty: TAIWAN FROM ABOVE 10th Anniversary Photography Traveling Exhibition” Warmly Welcomes Wistron Employees

Have you watched Beyond Beauty - TAIWAN FROM ABOVE? Do you still remember the shock and emotion it brought? Ten years ago, this documentary film broke the box office record in Taiwan's film history with a ticket revenue of NT$220 million. Po-lin Chi overcame his fear of heights to show us a bird's-eye view of Taiwan, with all its beauty and sorrow.

Has Taiwan retained its beauty after ten years? Has Taiwan's sorrow lessened? This year marks the 10th anniversary of the release of Beyond Beauty - TAIWAN FROM ABOVE. In honor of this milestone, the Chi Po-lin Foundation is holding the "Beyond Beauty - TAIWAN FROM ABOVE 10th Anniversary Photography Traveling Exhibition," showcasing a selection of photos from the 600,000 aerial photos taken by director Po-lin Chi. The exhibition aims to capture the best of 25 years of hard work and aerial photography records of Taiwan by presenting precious images of mountains, rivers, seas, and cities in an immersive atmosphere, allowing visitors to rediscover Po-lin Chi and Taiwan through a multisensory experience.

The exhibition is divided into three major areas. Upon entering, visitors will be astonished by bird's-eye view video footage accompanied by piano melodies, and will walk into the flight timeline of director Po-lin Chi. In the following area, through the visual concept of a rotor, visitors will be able to feel the strength of director Chi's spirit, which is perpetuated through the uninterrupted flight of the helicopter shadow animation. Then, they will be led to the environmental theater and the “Our Land Our Stories… In Memory of Chi Po-lin” exhibition area to watch classic film clips and listen to the guide's introduction. Finally, visitors will see the rivers dyed with colors on a changing color palette, awakening their emotions and reflections on the beauty and sorrow of this land and the changes and future of Taiwan's environment.

With an immersive atmosphere and classic quotes left by director Chi, the exhibition will officially open on August 15 at Warehouse No. 1 of the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. The exhibition will tour Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, ending on December 25. Wistron employees are welcome to invite their friends and family to visit the exhibition. Following Po-lin Chi's perspective, visitors will experience unprecedented views and emotions. This is not just a photography exhibition; it is a dialogue with oneself and the mountains, rivers, and land.
